Fairmount Township, Leavenworth County, Kansas

Fairmount Township is located in Leavenworth County, Kansas.  Fairmount Township includes the City of Basehor, Kansas within its boundaries.  The board of Fairmount Township is comprised of 3 elected members; a trustee, a treasurer, and a clerk.  The Fairmount Township Board meets on the 4th Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m.  The meetings take place at Fairmount Township Fire Department Station #1 located at 2624 N 155th Street, Basehor, Kansas.  The meetings are public meetings.

Fairmount Township provides for fire protection within the township boundaries including the City of Basehor.  The township has established Fairmount Township Fire Department to provide emergency services to the area.

Fairmount Township also manages 2 cemeteries within the township, Glenwood Cemetery and Elm Grove Cemetery.  The township appoints a sexton to oversee operations at those cemeteries.
